Mors & Zenbith

Each session our DM would get us to say a fun fact about our Characters (mostly on the spot thinking, but sometime people would ‘do their homework’) which help build backstories, characteristics, etc.

This whole campaign was a Homebrew world setting that our DM made up and nicely integrated all our characters into from the beginning. Everyone had to much fun and i would look forward to each session and as we were getting to final ending of our story I thought I would do something big to somehow commemorate it all!

So I secretly bought a star 🌟 naming it after 2 of the characters (check background information below for why) and added descriptions about each of characters, the world, the journey we had gone through and overall praise to our DM.

I told everyone at the table when we all first sat down to do our fun facts and asked to go last (I was massively nervous how everyone would react). Everyone was at first like “what do you mean you bought a star!?”, I then showed them the star map and the webpage associated, which everyone was rather surprised and left with glee of appreciation ❤ (DM then gave me inspiration for the session too which went on to help another player)

Here is a short background about the campaign and reasons for naming the star;

The Campaign was called the Mines of Emeralda and followed our mismatched band of adventurers called the Chestopher’s Angels (we adopted a walking chest (mimic!?) which we called Chestopher but it later got killed off screen, thus the name and image on the star webpage). The group ventured through the kingdom of Emeralda and first started off in capital city Gemstone before heading through the various other fantastical locations that kingdom had to offer. There was an overarching evil looking to harm this once beaming kingdom and the king of Emeralda ended up being the main culprit!!

The main reason for naming the star Mors & Zenbith (mine and my friends character names) was because of the overall journey they both went through together. It all started with the prominent religious Deities called the twin stars which magical fused the two character bodies together as some form of test. (Mechanically this allowed us to switch out when we couldn’t make sessions, whilst introducing an interesting new way to play when were both there and created a fun narrative reason for the others absence). They were considered opposites in character and personality, yet similar in their own social awkwardness and alienation. Throughout the fusion they both changed for the better and once released they became close friends. ❤

In memory of The Mines of Emeralda, an amazing fantasy journey foretold and mastered by our very own Diddy DM, Fraser, the loosest goose you will ever meet. 🦢

This story follows the Chestopher’s Angels, a mismatched band of adventurers who ventured through the kingdom of Emeralda and first started off in capital city, Gemstone.

Causing chaos wherever they went, frolicking through the depths of the once great mines and deeply engrained history, they stumbled upon the series of troubled events that introduced themselves along the way.

They helped solve the mysteries behind the daily threats that wished nothing but to cause harm to the once gleeming kingdom. All whilst diving further into their own individual backgrounds, uncovering the mysteries and misfortunes that followed them.

This group of players were filled with enthusiasm and great shenanigans that gave the table experience an enriched joy, something that we all sure remember

The group of adventurers consisted of; Cora, the Air Genasi Druid (Jen); Takara, the Earth Genasi Sorcerer (Nadia); Ithirea, the Aasimar Bard (Adelaide); Fay, the Human Rogue (Lauren); Mors, the Dark Elf Cleric (Muriel); Zenbith, the Astral Elf Paladin (Josh).

Mors and Zenbith were magically fused into one physical body under the will of the Light Star Gods. Challenged to find kindness and strength to reverse the affects, finding new friendships amongst them.
